Hints on pruning

1. Prune when the plants are dormant so that the sap will not ooze from the cuts

2. Rambler roses and many shrubs should be pruned after flowering.

3.Cut away all dead, criss-crossing and weak wood

4. Always cut cleanly approximately 1cm above an outward facing bud at an angel slogin away from the bud as shown
