DULUX AQUATECH MAX WATERPROOFING PAINT 20KG (WHITE/GREY)

Dulux Aquatech Max Waterproofing is a super durable, easy to apply, thick and elastomeric waterproof coating that is made with fine pigments and extremely durable high bond polymer. Its breakthrough Hydroresist technology forms an impenetrable tough yet flexible barrier film over porous surfaces to bridge cracks and to prevent water seepage and fungal attacks.

Suitable to be used for areas that require special waterproofing like flat roofs, balconies, RC gutters and planter boxes, floor slabs, decks, external walls and interior floors under tile.

This break thru’ technology helps to form a tough protective water resist elastromeric film that can resist water seepage from the roof and protect the structure.

Easily restored damage exterior and breath new life into dense materials in a few simple steps.

Step 1 : Prepare
Remove algae and fungi from roof
Step 2 : Repair
Prevent any cracks then ensure that the surface is clean, dry and free of loose particles
Step 3 : Protect
-Protect using a dilution of 1kg of Dulux Aqua Tech Max Waterproofing and 30ml of water, mix together to create “PRIMER”
-Apply evenly across the surface & allow it to dry.
-Once the primer is dry, using either a roller or a brush, Apply 1 UNDILUTED coat of Dulux Aqua Tech Max Waterproofing.
-Leave to dry for 5 – 6 hours.
-Once dry, apply a 2nd UNDILUTED coat at a 90° angle to the 1st coat.
-Leave to dry.
-After the 7 days, you will enjoy unbeatable moisture protection

PRACTICAL COVERAGE:
The forced coverage to be achieved for a proper waterproofing solution is 1.2-1.4kg/m2 for 3 coats (including priming coat).If forced coverage is not achieved apply an additional coat of Dulux Aquatech Max Waterproofing
* Min. DFT 600-800um is recommended for proper waterproofing

SURFACE PREPARATION:
The surface must be clean, dry and sound. Remove any old paint, dirt, plaster, fungus and algae by using appropriate method. Apply Dulux Fungicidal Wash to treat the surface affected by algae/fungal. Use a mixture of sand and cement to patch larger holes or defected on the horizontal surface. The surface should be able to drain off water or have a slope of 1-2% to allow water run-off.For new surface, allow the surface dry well (Moisture reading on a Protimeter should be <16% and surface temperature not over 40°C)
For chalky surface, remove as much of the powdery chalk before applying.

Self-priming coat by diluting with water up to 30% to ensure good penetration into the substrate. Apply in one direction. Allow to dry for 4-6 hours. Followed by 2-3 coats of undiluted paint by roller at perpendicular direction to each coat, with overcoating time of 4-6 hours.
Leave to dry for a minimum 24 hours depend on the temperature & humidity.
For areas that require strengthening, use a polyester mesh on the first layer while it is still wet.

Recommended painting system: Finish: 3 coats of Dulux Aquatech™ Max Waterproofing.
Notes: Application temperature: 15OC – 40OC
Do not apply during rain or in wet conditions to obtain best waterproofing and finishing.
Not recommended for constant immersion in water.
